I’ve been a re-user all of my adult life and never going back!

Oof! So many reasons!

1. It’s good for the environment. Fast fashion/mass production of ish is not it, yall. By restoring and reusing items that have been donated, we reduce the amount of single-use product waste and extend the life cycle of produced goods. Reuse reuse reuse!

2. We give the big corps less of a demand for cheap, fast-made products that contribute to our global environmental crisis.

3. They’re just made better. Ever just hold a thick, heavy, beautiful cocktail? Or poured from your grandparent’s wine decanter? They don’t make the good stuff like they used to, IMO. Not only is the material quality better, and oftentimes hand-made, but the design, details, and style of the thing! BEAUTY!

4. It’s too fun to mix, blend and produce a style. Vintage, retro, art deco, mid-century modern (MCM), all made a major comeback because it is truly timeless.

Items are all hand-selected for quality, style and estimated longevity (life left!). I determine only the top-quality, best items (that I would keep for myself) as worthy of resale in my shop.

I curate the “scenes” in the catalog with products of specific styles to provide ideas for styling in your home.

Most items have unknown exact origins, and have been purchased at consignment, antique, vintage resale, thrift, markets, secondhand and discount stores in Chicago and the surrounding area (unless otherwise specified in item description) by a single handler. Items range from handmade, local to international finds, as well as Some specific details are found on item when restored.

I am human, so I cannot guarantee that items are all produced before 2000. Many companies imitate/reproduce styles of the past with cheaper materials to pass for vintage. I’m pretty good about telling the difference ;) (and even researching later!)

All items were purchased and are sold in near original condition, most are unaltered unless indicated otherwise, and outside of cleaning/polishing/saging. Photos represent accurate conditions of items. Any imperfections, if visible, will be seen in photos.

All items are cleaned, polished and saged, ready for new energy and home!

Items are hand-selected and repolished or repurposed for reuse (go upcycling!) by mich .(latin@; chicagoan, founder).

Personal care and attention has been given to each item to be re-used and re-sold.

Most items are not being made anymore. At least, not in the same material, form, fashion, or style. We value the history these items hold, and factor in the uniqueness of each find. Often times, this indicates higher monetary value than at time of purchase, or of “modern” factory-made, mass produced items of similar appearance now.

Labor and expenses related to local travel, purchase, sales tax and packaging are calculated into item cost.

Prices are always lower than estimated original price (when unknown) or actual price of item new, at time of production (original tag or similar posting).
